Julia McIntosh 1957-2021

"Doctor Julia" was a licensed school psychologist that valued her own continuing education and relished sharing her knowledge and experience to nurture, inspire, and mentor a multitude of children, families, and colleagues, always with the goal of helping children achieve their best lives. Her educational background, practical intuition, and depth of experience combined to drive an unwavering advocacy for all of her "kids."

The giving of the perfect gift acted as a metaphor for the way she lived her life, whether manifested in receiving her time, compassion and talent, or some tangible, perfectly chosen item. Knowing Julia invariably meant appreciating Julia's gift for helping others and for teaching so many how to perpetuate the cycle of giving through their own service to others.

Julia’s family has honored her generous spirit by asking that donations be made to Bilingual Multicultural Educational Support Team (BEST), BMSI’s non-profit 501 C3 division, to provide scholarships to students for our reading camp. If you would like to donate on Julia’s behalf, you can do so by clicking on the button above.
